Looking for the best way to reach out to your customers and clients searching you out? In the past month, Google has made public a great and new way to do just that.
Google Posts are social media styled updates that can be added to search results for individual businesses. The photo, content, and link that appears in search results can be directly controlled by business owners, giving them specific control over what users see and interact with.
Google explains that the feature gives administrators a large arrays of abilities to interact with users:
The opportunities for what can be done with this new feature are quite limitless. For example, you might own a restaurant or bar that wants to offer a featured special for the weekend. Or perhaps you’re with a non-profit that’s promoting a fundraiser event. They might even be a link to a landing page or a direct option to buy a product.
Google has these updates expire by default after seven days, encouraging business and organization owners to keep their content fresh and updated as users seek out new information. Administrators also have access to analytical data, allowing them to see what type of posts are performing well and adjust content accordingly.
